“Ted Waltman has been flying since he was 15. A 1978 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Ted was a computer systems engineer in the Air Force. Later Ted formed his own software consulting company, which he later sold to a national firm. Ted earned his instrument and commercial pilot ratings, and flew in Alaska for Wrangell Mtn Air for a summer as a bush pilot. This past summer, 2024, Ted again found himself in bush pilot work, flying for Dierick’s Tsiu River Lodge—a salmon fishing destination resort—along the SE coast of Alaska near Yakutat. Ted & his wife Jean both retired from work in the Denver area and moved to Cedaredge in 2021."
