Enjoy a 2-hour walk for up to 8 people and talk about the petroglyphs in Shavano Valley, west of Montrose. Your guide will be Alma Evans. After retiring from a career in public education, Alma returned to a love of her younger life, deciphering the mysteries of the Indian rock writings. Alma is a docent for the Ute Indian Museum and a site steward through the Chipeta Chapter of the Colorado Archaeological Society, both in Montrose. She is also a member of Utah Rock Art and Research Association. Her Gift Certificate includes contact info. 

You  will be hiking on an unpaved trail with an elevation change  of approximately 600 ft over 2 miles. You will be walking a little and talking a little over two hours.  Gift Certificate will be provided and includes contact info.
